Bishop Geoffrey V. Dudley, Sr. is from Goldsboro, NC and is the youngest of 11 children from the union of the late Bishop Leamon Dudley, Sr. & the late Mrs. Ida Dorothy Dudley. He gave his life to Christ when he was 12 and began ministry at the early age of 13. He grew up in the United Holy Church of America, Inc. He was ordained by the UHC in 1986. He changed denominations and became an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ in 1989 and served as a chaplain in the Air Force for the C.O.G.I.C. Bishop Dudley is married to the former Glenda D. Jones of Spring Hope, NC. They have two children, Mahogany Kneecoal and Geoffrey Vincient II. He is a retired Air Force Chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel, and in his 21 ½ years of service he has lived and ministered in many states and several countries. He diligently pursued formal education to prepare for a lifetime of ministry.

  • 2015—Currently pursuing his PhD in Leadership from Regents University

He is the author of “Prayer: Answers Guaranteed” (Outskirts Press Publishing) and “What’s My Ministry: What Does God Want From Me?”. His formal education culminated with a doctorate in ministry dissertation or “project piece” on “How to Plant and Grow Churches in the 21st Century.” He has put his education and leadership gifts to use in a milieu of venues. In less than 3 years each congregation he founded or lead experienced tremendous growth:

  • 1990—Moody AFB Chapel service 35 to 150
  • 1993—Spaindahlem, Germany 235 to 500+
  • 1998—Progressive Life in Christ (new church plant) Hampton, VA 12 to 200+
  • 2000—Scott AFB Chapel 2 from 230 to over 635
  • 2003—New Life in Christ Interdenominational Church (current) from a core of approx. 28 to over 2500

Bishop Dudley has dedicated his life to serving the church and community through a variety of organizations.

  • Chairman St. Louis Metro East CARES Mentoring Circle
  • Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Board Member
  • Formerly served as the first African-American of O’Fallon District 90 School Board

Bishop Dudley is the founding pastor of one of the fastest growing churches in the Metro East (O’Fallon, IL) area of St. Louis, MO. They are now one church in two locations after starting the second New Life North in 2016. He and his church are under the spiritual covering of Bishop TD Jakes of Dallas, Tx. New Life adopted the East St Louis Sr. High School, changing lives through mentoring with Project Graduation. This faith-based model they developed is endorsed by Susan Taylor, Editor Emeritus of Essence Magazine and the founder of the National CARES Mentoring Movement. NLC LifeChangers, as they call themselves, are committed to changing lives in their lifetime.
